Susanna’s Christmas Garlands

Susanna has been selling Christmas garlands over the year of 2019 to fill people’s homes with festive joy and also raise precious funds for Invest in ME Research for biomedical research into Myalgic Encephalomyelitis.

Susanna’s efforts have raised over £600 including Gift Aid.

Invest in ME Research Christmas / New Year Funding Appeal.

As the charity explains on Day 24 of their Advent Calendar for ME the main objective of the appeal is to raise funds for another PhD studentship and further the development of A Centre of Excellence for ME.

Advent Calendar for ME

Invest in ME Research begin their advent calendar with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis itself, using an article from some of the most knowledgeable and pioneering of advocates for people with ME. The article is called ‘Information for Clinicians and Lawyers’ and was written in 2001 by Eileen P. Marshall, Margaret Williams and Professor Malcolm Hooper. Day 1 – What is ME?

Caroline John’s Christmas Appeal Donation

Another bauble added to the Invest in ME Research Christmas Tree courtesy of a generous £1000 donation by Caroline John from Scotland.

Caroline is a bespoke jewellery designer who has had ME for over three decades. Her story led the charity to write on the topic of people long-term ill ME.
