As the charity explains on Day 24 of their Advent Calendar for ME the main objective of the appeal is to raise funds for another PhD studentship and further the development of A Centre of Excellence for ME.

A new way to donate to Invest in ME Research!
You can now send e-cards and donate to Invest in ME Research via DontSendMeACard.com so it’s not too late for last minute Christmas cards.
There is also an option for companies to send corporate Christmas e-cards.
Simply select the occasion, type your message, choose how much you wish to donate, from a minimum donation of £1 with no maximum amount.
You can make your donation via PayPal or credit card.
You are only ever charged what you select to donate e.g. if you select to donate £10 you pay £10.
You can add Gift Aid if you pay UK tax and the charity can then claim 25p extra for every £1 donated.
You can send up 100 e-cards to friends and family per donation, either all at once or one at a time.
Donations are sent instantly to the charity, less a 5% fee for each transaction.
When friends, family, colleagues, receive your e-card, they will see that you donated, but they won’t see the amount, so if you would like people to know then you could state your donation amount in your personal message.
